Part 2 of 2

Having just watched Waitress, and remembered upon hearing about the director/actress’s murder after the movie,  I found that Adrienne Shelly was murdered by a 19 year old from Ecuador who was an illegal immigrant, who murdered her because she caught him stealing money from her wallet and threatened to call the police. Incredibly, incredibly sad. The movie however, was very enjoyable, even more so Nathan Fillion I might add, now there’s one sexy doctor.

I thought this was a great film; the screenwriter did an excellent job capturing an important event of Capote’s life and writing over those five years. As I sat there watching this movie, I felt somewhat chilled by the actual murder, yet drawn in to feel empathetic for the bond between Capote and one of the killers named Perry. We get to know Capote; his social personality, witty sense of humour and a great willingness to connect with people. Capote definitely found his way into my good books.
